Create your first project
What is a project?
A project is your workspace for a single brand. It holds your Brand DNA (colors, style, tone) and all the images you generate. Keeping one project per brand means every generation stays consistent.
Step 1 - Open the workspace
Go to /app after signing in. You will see your project grid. If this is your first time, the grid is empty.
Step 2 - Create a new project
Click New project (the button in the top bar or the prompt in the empty state). A dialog opens asking for a project name and a brand setup method.
Three ways to set up your brand:
- Upload an image - drop a logo, hero image, or brand creative. BrandGen extracts colors and style automatically.
- Paste a URL - paste a public page URL and BrandGen extracts brand context from the page visuals.
- Write guidelines - type your brand guidelines directly (colors, tone, style keywords).
You can always skip this step and set up Brand DNA later from the Brand tab inside the project.
Step 3 - Enter the canvas
After creation, BrandGen opens your project canvas at /p/[id]. The canvas is where you write prompts and see your generated images.
Step 4 - Write a prompt and generate
Type a prompt in the bar at the bottom of the canvas - describe the scene or asset you want. BrandGen applies your Brand DNA as context for the generation. Press Generate and your image appears in the canvas when the generation finishes.
Tip: Describe what you want in the scene, not your brand. Brand DNA handles colors and style for you. "Bold product shot on a white surface" works better than "use our brand colors for this shot."
