This Privacy Policy explains how BrandGen collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use BrandGen.

It also explains the privacy choices available to you, including regional cookie choices, email preferences, and data requests.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: your name, email address, profile photo if provided by your sign-in provider, and account settings.

Profile data: display name, handle, bio, avatar, public byline preference, and notification preferences if you choose to provide them.

Brand and generation data: prompts, uploaded brand references, brand guidelines, generated images, project names, comments, feedback, and sharing settings.

Usage and billing data: credit balance, plan status, generation history, support requests, email preference changes, and account activity.

Technical data: IP address, approximate location derived from request headers, device and browser information, pages visited, diagnostics, and security logs.

Payment data: payments are processed by a payment provider. BrandGen does not store full card numbers or payment credentials.

3. How We Use Your Data

To operate BrandGen, including sign-in, project management, image generation, credit tracking, downloads, sharing, and account settings.

To maintain and improve BrandGen, including debugging, security monitoring, analytics, product research, and support.

To send service communications, including account notices, billing notices, credit alerts, unsubscribe confirmations, and support replies.

To send product tips, updates, and re-engagement emails where permitted. You can opt out of these emails in Settings or from the unsubscribe link in the email.

BrandGen does not use your uploads, prompts, or generated outputs to train BrandGen-owned models.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for sign-in, language preferences, security, and remembering your cookie choices.

We use analytics to understand product usage, protect the Service, debug issues, and improve BrandGen. Where required, browser analytics storage runs only after consent.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, BrandGen treats it as an analytics opt-out where supported.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site retargeting pixels, or personalized advertising cookies on BrandGen.

Your cookie choice is remembered after you respond. You can reset it by clearing the BrandGen consent cookie or by using browser privacy controls.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal data.

We do not sell your brand assets or publish them without your action.

We share limited information with service providers that help us operate BrandGen, such as authentication, hosting, storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, support, and AI generation providers.

For image generation, prompts, uploaded references, brand guidelines, and generated outputs may be processed as needed to return the results you request.

If you create a public share link, anyone with that link may view the shared image and any public byline information you enabled.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect BrandGen and our users, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

6. Data Retention

We keep account, project, and generation data while your account is active or as needed to provide BrandGen.

We may keep billing, security, email, and audit records for longer where needed for legal, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or service integrity reasons.

You can request deletion of your account data by emailing hello@getbrandgen.com. We will handle deletion requests as required by applicable law.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your data; object to or restrict processing; data portability; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

EEA/UK users: these rights derive from GDPR/UK GDPR. To exercise them, email hello@getbrandgen.com.

California users (CCPA/CPRA): you may have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. BrandGen does not sell personal data or use cross-site advertising cookies.

Global Privacy Control (GPC): if your browser sends GPC=1, analytics are automatically disabled where supported without requiring you to interact with the cookie banner.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information and brand assets.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
